Is there a way to accomplish something similar to the twimlet "whisper" feature with the TwiML?
What I want to accomplish:
user dials a number
based on various factors my app decides who to dial
the dialed party answers and hears a short mp3 telling them about the nature of the call. The caller should not hear this and ideally would hear more ring tones.
The dialed party then is connected with the caller.
It's really ideal if the dialed party does not need to press a button to connect after the mp3 is played, but that is lower priority. The real goal is to do the whisper message; if they have to press 1 to connect that is ok.
Is this possible?

Hi Steve,
You can 'whisper' to a caller by specifying a url attribute on the <Number> noun when using the <Dial> verb http://www.twilio.com/docs/api/2008-0...
Let me know if you have any other questions!

So if I where to call you, I would hear ringing up till I heard you say hello. However when YOU answered the phone - you heard this recording, mp3, or the computer voice telling you what numbers where entered by the caller. Once the recording/message was given to you, the system connected you to the caller, me. Make sense?EditDeleteRemove

fifedog: We implemented this and it does exactly what you are asking, the caller does not hear the recording
